The story of a photographer

Do you remember disposable cameras? Because this photographer does. In fact, they were my very first medium. I would arrange "trips to exotic locations" (aka my backyard) and tea parties for dolls and stuffed animals, doing what I felt was exquisite scene setting and using flash for every photo. I was seven; my clumsy attempts at backgrounds and posing stuffed animals did not turn out well... Nor did using flash in every photo. My family printed off EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of those photos for me. They let me build a portfolio out of them in an old photo album. I really thought I was something.

In high school, a friend mentioned her interest in photography. Together, we bought point and shoot cameras. We did a lot of shooting each other. I learned flash was NOT necessary for everything. By graduation, I was starting to feel competent in my skills.

After high school, I received my first DSLR camera. I practiced more with friends. With family. With strangers. I realized that I had no Photoshop or Lightroom skills. I began to work on those skill sets.

Unfortunately, life began to get in the way of my photography. After several years of turmoil, I am finally in a place to pursue my passions once again. I am humbly grateful to be here. To take your cherished moments and turn them into something tangible. Let's make extraordinary memories together for you and your family to treasure.
